Steve Boriss

Steve Boriss teaches the class “The Future of News” at Washington University in St. Louis and is a principal of The Future of News, Inc. He has spent the last several years researching, analyzing, and forecasting the future of news, pursuing a multi-disciplinary approach that includes business strategy, consumer marketing, finance, history, journalism, political science, psychology, and technology. Consequently, he brings fresh thinking and a unique voice to the worldwide debate on the breathtaking transformation in news that is now underway.

Prior to forming The Future of News, Inc., Steve was Associate Director of Washington University in St. Louis’ Center for the Application of Information Technology. Before that, he founded Consensus, a marketing and public relations firm specializing in public policy, and held marketing management positions at Johnson & Johnson and Procter & Gamble.
