David Strom

David Strom is one of the leading experts on network, Internet, and New Media technologies. For nearly 20 years he has written and spoken extensively on these topics globally.

He has held several editorial management positions for both print and online properties, and has written over a thousand different articles, feature stories, opinion columns, and reviews. He created Network Computing magazine and was the magazine’s first editor-in-chief. His work has also been published in Communications Week, Computerworld, c|net’s news.com, DigitalLanding.com, IDGWorld’s e-mail subscription service, Infoworld, Internet.com, Network World, PC Week, Small Business Computing, TechTarget.com, Tom’s Hardware, VAR Business, Web Review, and Windows Sources.

David is a frequent contributor to the NY Times and he has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows, including ABC World News Tonight and NPR’s Science Friday. His Web Informant newsletter, strominator.com blog, and Media Blather blog and podcasts reach highly influential audiences throughout the IT, Internet, and media communities. He has authored two books: Internet Messaging (Prentice Hall), which he co-authored with Marshall T. Rose and Home Networking Survival Guide (McGrawHill/Osborne).

Mr. Strom has a BS from Union College and a Masters of Science in Operations Research from Stanford University.
